About Us

Established in 1987, "a peaceful retreat" is how many guests have described Hullerbank.

We pride ourselves on providing outstanding customer service so our guests feel welcome, comfortable and "at home".  Locally sourced produce are used for our traditional cooked breakfasts.

Hullerbank is situated in unspoilt countryside and is an ideal base for exploring what the local area and further afield has to offer - Hadrian's Wall, Talkin Tarn, the City of Carlisle, The Lake District and the Scottish Borders.    If you are looking for a quiet overnight stay before or after your flight, Carlisle Lake District Airport is a 20 minute drive or Newcastle International Airport is an hour away.

Lovely farmhouse in country setting. Clean and cosy bedroom and own sitting room. Lovely big bath towels! Very attentive hosts. Great breakfasts especially delicious scrambled eggs. Busy bird table in the garden where we watched the woodpecker and other birds daily. A quiet restful stay in a farmhouse that had a period feel and a great homeliness.
Brian and Sheila welcome you to their Georgian farmhouse dated 1635 - 1751, standing in its own grounds with garden and orchard, set well back from the road.

Adjoining the house we have 27 acres of pasture on which we keep a small flock of sheep.

The house is comfortable and tastefully decorated throughout; it has full central heating and a fire in chilly weather. The lounge has a colour television, as well as reading matter and tourist information on local places of interest.  Wifi is available for the convenience of guests.

Separate from the lounge is the dining room, where traditional breakfasts are served. Packed lunches are available by arrangement.
