VISITOR INFORMATION

Hullerbank is situated in unspoilt countryside and is an ideal base for exploring what the local area and further afield has to offer - Hadrian's Wall, Talkin Tarn, the City of Carlisle, The Lake Districtand the Scottish Borders.

Whether you enjoy historical places of interest and buildings or are a walker, a golfer, a fisher, a bird watcher or just like retail therapy, there is something for everyone.

Hadrian's Wall is within easy reach of us, the nearest location being within a 15 minute drive.  Seeped in history, Lanercost Priory stands close to Hadrian's Wall.  

Talkin Tarn Country Park is well known for its lovely walks, sailing, course fishing, boating and wind surfing and is within 1 mile, as is Brampton Golf Course.

The River Gelt boasts trout fishing and beautiful woodland to explore. Only a couple of miles away is the RSPB reserve of Geltsdale.

Within a 30 minute car drive is the historical City of Carlisle where Carlisle Castle, Tullie House Museum and Carlisle Cathedral are well worth a visit. If you prefer retail therapy there are a range of shops in the city centre or a 30 minute drive from Hullerbank wIll take you to Gretna Gateway Outlet Village and the famous Blacksmiths Shop.

If you want to venture further afield, the stunning Lake District and picturesque Scottish Borders can be reached by car within 1 hour.

HOW TO FIND US


Hullerbank is approximately 3 miles south of the small town of Brampton near the picturesque village of Talkin, about 9 miles east of Carlisle.

Guests using the M6 motorway, exit at Junction 43, talking the A69 to Brampton. From Brampton follow the B6413 (Castle Carrock road) for about 2 miles and after crossing the railway and passing Brampton Golf Club, turn left to Talkin. Leave the village on the Hallbankgate road and follow the signs to Hullerbank (½ mile).
